After an undergraduate degree in Social Anthropology at Cambridge (including Part 1 in Social and Political Sciences), I worked as a news producer on BBC Radio Four, and then as an Anthropology teacher at Truro College, Cornwall, before being drawn back into academia by the possibilities it offers to really engage with big ideas.

I am interested in death, birth, personhood, kinship, embodiment and gender, and my ESRC funded PhD on Second Trimester pregnancy loss brings all these themes together.

I completed the Exeter MRes in Science and Technology Studies in 2017.
