I tutored in this module throughout the Spring semester of 2011.
The module examined the interaction between the media, public opinion, and political campaigns. It discussed such issues as how much 'the public' appears to know about politics; the role the media plays in enhancing or diminishing levels of knowledge; how the media covers political campaigns; and the effects this coverage has on the behaviour of office-seekers and electorates. It also explored the implications of these interactions in various democracies.
