  • Develop students' understanding of the scientific method and its development, helping them become research literate. 
  • Assist as students build their own research project, from a research question and literature review, to designing and implementing a data collection instrument, to analyzing data and finally presenting their results in a poster.

Critical Thinking (LSH 2203)

  • Introduce students to the basic principles of critical thinking, as well as typical barriers to critical thinking like bias. 
  • Help students recognize argument structures and evaluate valid arguments. 
  • Assist in understanding logical fallacies, where they come from, and how to recognize when interlocutors' arguments are fallacious.

Intercultural Studies (LSS 2113)

  • Develop students' awareness of their own personal strengths and weaknesses, along with how they are developed and how they can affect others
  • Help students understand motivations and actions in cultural terms, contrasted with universal or personal behaviors
  • Guide students in seeing intercultural conflict's underlying causes and more appropriate resolutions

  • A course to work with students in developing their abilities to read and write at the university level, with a focus on essays and research that incorporates APA formatting, as well as finding and using sources.

  • An English class for diploma students of Information Technology to sharpen their English skills and the vocabulary specific to their area of study
  • A focus on practical activities related to using the language together with reading and listening exercises so that students can more confidently produce the necessary vocabulary and structures
  • Provide additional IELTS practice for students as they prepare for their exit exams
