I completed my undergraduate degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (specialising in English and German) at the University of Turin. In 2009 I obtained a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (specialising in English) with First-class honours, and defended a thesis on the translation and analysis of a selection of articles written by the British columnist and feminist Katharine Whitehorn.

I worked as Foreign Language Assistant in Millfield High School for the school year 2009/2010. Subsequently I was awarded a doctoral bursary from the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Exeter, and started my PhD in October 2010. My research project, supervised by Dr. Danielle Hipkins and Dr. Richard Mansell, focuses on the links between the Anglo-American and the Italian feminist movements in the ‘70s, and aims to analyse the influence of translation on the spread of Anglo-American feminism in the Italian movement. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I also teach undergraduate modules in Italian language.
