The workshop covered the following themes: language teaching and learning in challenging and changing times; essential teaching skills and digital technologies; aspects of effective language teaching and learning; preparation and presentation of the lesson-planning task.

Research trip to Russia

I received funding from AHRC RTSG for a research trip to Russia, which enabled me to work at the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (RGALI) and the Russian State Library in Moscow from the 22nd to the 27th of June 2015.

War in Other Words

In 2015-2016 I was part of the public engagement project War in Other Words, created and run by Exeter Modern Languages postgraduate research students.

Attendance at overseas conference

I received funding from the University of Exeter PGR Research Support Fund to attend the international conference "Detskaia literatura kak sobytie" [Children’s literature as happening], which was held in Moscow on 11-13 December 2015. It was organised by the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education of the City of Moscow "Moscow City Teacher Training University" and the Russian Section of IBBY (The International Board on Books for Young People).

Eastern European and Russian Creative Voices in British Culture

I am part of a collaborative public engagement project which researches cultural output of Eastern European and Russian minority groups in Britain.
