I have experience as a research assistant, in academic as well as in freelance teaching and translating in Germany and in the UK. In addition, I obtained training in sexual and reproductive health (WHO), physical anthropology, and the application of the latter to clinical medicine and forensics (e.g. funerary excavations in Pompei, Valencia and Rome; histopathological and ante/post mortem radiographic analysis in babies and small children at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital). With Dr Marta Cohen, Head of the Histopathology Department at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, I am currently co-investigating aspects related to sudden infant death (SIDS/SUDI) and vitamin D deficiency. |
