Project Summary

My current research involves looking at how the physical aspects of climate change effect worldwide mining operations. Considering how important mining is to our society, very little research has been done in this area. I am currently looking at ways in which we can make use of information gained from both historical climate data sets and regional climate model projections and incorporate them into a mines operational risk management process (ORMP), so that risks and implications can be identified and mitigated against.
