I am a part-time distance PhD Education student at the University of Exeter. I am also a full-time higher education (HE) teacher for the University of Plymouth at the University Centre South Devon. I teach psychology and education on a range of Foundation and Bachelor Degrees, and lead the FdA Teaching and Learning. I also manage the Higher Education Student Development and Tutorial programme leading, including managing our Student Support Hub and implementation and evaluation of our Access and Participation Plan.
Prior to teaching I worked as a political campaigns manager and children's rights advocate for Unicef and Oxfam, and a specialist teaching assistant for chilren with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This passion for social justice, continues to be reflected in both my teaching and research as both focus on the use of psychology to promote inclusion and well-being for learners.
