I completed my English BA at the University of Exeter's Penryn Campus in 2013. My dissertation considered the role of homosexual nostalgia for the queer past in the novels of the contempoary British writer Alan Hollinghurst.

I undertook my MA at Exeter's Streatham Campus, researching the representation of male homosexuality in contemporary British television.

In April 2015 I secured one of Exeter's College of Humanities Graduate School Penryn Doctoral Studentships, and am currently researching for a PhD in English, based on the Penryn Campus. My thesis focuses on the aesthetic, emotive and cultural significance of memory nostalgia and ageing in late-Victorian and twentieth century homosexual literature
