College: College of Humanities
Department: English Literature and Classics and Ancient History
After attending Dawlish Community College and Exeter College in Devon I was accepted into Cardiff University to pursue an Undergraduate degree in English Literature and Ancient History for which I received a First in 2010. I stayed on at Cardiff to complete a Studentship funded MA in Ancient History and was awarded a Distinction in autumn 2011.
I began an AHRC funded PhD at The University of Exeter in the same year and successfully completed my interdisciplinary doctorate in 2015. This project contextualised the reception of Rome in the works of the writer and artist David Jones (1895-1974). It was examined by Professor Adrian Poole and Professor David Scourfield and my internal was Dr Henry Power.
