Jessica Bowyer

I am a sociologist interested in class, inequality and education. I am currently undertaking a PhD in the Graduate School of Education, where my thesis focuses on the attainment gap in rural and coastal areas.

Prior to coming to Exeter, I worked in the education sector conducting research to support ongoing qualification reform. I have also been commissioned to undertake research about the implementation of compulsory sex and relationships education and multi-academy trusts.
