I am a first year PhD student at the University of Exeter.  My thesis is titled 'Euroscepticism in the Labour Party: The Role Played By The Labour Common Market Safeguards Committee From 1975' and is supervised by Professor Richard Toye.  I have long been interested in modern political history, which was honed in my BSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and in my MA at Yale University. More recently, I worked as a member of staff for an MP in the Houses of Parliament.

I am currently Communications Officer of the postgraduate student journal Ex Historia.  I live in Exeter with my wife Tanya, who is the vicar of St Mark's Church on Pinhoe Road.
