I am a second year PhD student at the University of Exeter.  My thesis is titled 'Euroscepticism in the Labour Party: The Role Played By The Labour Common Market Safeguards Committee From 1975'.  I have long been interested in modern political history, which was honed in my BSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and in my MA at Yale University. More recently, I worked as a member of staff for an MP in the Houses of Parliament.

I am currently Editor of the postgraduate student journal Ex Historia.  I therefore lead a committee of 6 people responsible for publishing the 2018-9 edition of the journal, and run a fortnightly series of symposia during the Autumn and Spring Terms, where PhD students have the opportunity to present their research.

I am also employed part-time by the University as a Student Ambassador. In this role I regularly give tours of the University to prospective students and their families, and do Outreach work on teh University's behalf. This has involved welcoming local schools to the University, and I have also attended a local school to help deliver an Articulacy workshop.
