I am a trainee Educational Psychologist on the DEdPsych course. Previously, I have been a primary school teacher, teacher of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, and supported young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans in a post-16 setting.

My academic interests include the impact of domestic abuse and coercive control on children's development, family empowerment, children's perceptions of what healthy relationships are, and adults' attitudes towards young people's behaviour.

I am interested in pursuing research into animal-assisted intervention therapies within school settings; the importance of the human-animal bond, and children's experiences of relationship-building.
