I come from a multidisciplinary background; I studied at the University Tahri Mohamed in Algeria. My bachelor's degree was completed in 2013, and it was during this time that I became interested in EFL student oral competence. I started my master's degree in education and finished my dissertation in 2015. This prompted me to begin my PhD studies at Exeter University. In addition, in 2018, I received a Master of Science in Educational Research from Exeter University. I finished my PhD programme in 2022 and I am proud to be called Dr. Khouloud.

I had the opportunity to work as a Newsletter Editor for Exeter University's Language and Education Network (LEN). For one year, I worked as a part-time teacher at Tahri Mohamed University in Algeria. I also worked as a secondary school teacher in Algeria's south-west for six months.
