My research explores the psychological potential of interiors and enclosure metaphors in the Victorian novel. I am particularly interested in the intersection of architecture, psychology, and realism in novels such as George Eliot's Middlemarch and Charlotte Bronte's Villette.
I am Assistant Editor of English Literature for Exclamat!on - Exeter's new postgraduate journal for English, Film, Drama and Creative Writing.
I received my BA from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York and my MA from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
