My education background includes a MA degree from the University of Windsor in Canada; with a focus on International Relations and Environmental Studies, as well as a BA in Political Science from The American University in Cairo, with a specialization in Political Economy. Currently, my focus shifted towards Gender and Islamic Studies, due to the growing concern and attention directed towards women’s rights within the realm of Islamic political thought and jurisprudence, and the rights of Muslim women within the contemporary secularist domain.
