After graduating from the International High School of Grenoble where I studied economics and social sciences in English and French, I entered the Institute of Political Science of Aix-en-Provence ("Sciences Po"). There I pursued inter-disciplinary studies and specialised in Political Science and International Relations.

I concluded my studies at "Sciences Po" in order to undertake a Masters of Art in Middle East Politics at the University of Exeter. My Masters gave me the opportunity to study key issues in both domestic and regional politics in the Middle East. It also enabled me to explore the theoretical debates that are central within this field of study.

I was able to study Modern Standard Arabic at the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies and undertook two intensive courses abroad - one at the Bouguiba Institute in Tunisia and another at the International Language Institute (ILI) in Egypt, for which I was funded by the Prince Al-Waleed Scholarship.

My Masters Dissertation focused on the symbolical meaning of the Iranian nuclear crisis to President Ahmadinejad and the hardliners. I was awarded a Distinction for my Dissertation and my Masters.

In October 2010, I embarked on a PhD in Middle East Politics (part-time). My thesis is entitled "Iran's Justice- and Status-Seeking Foreign Policy through the Prism of the Nuclear Issue: The Ahmadinejad Presidency, 2005-2013"
