Naomi Johnston

I am a Fellow of the Higher education academy (Advance HE), I have held posts in higher education as a Senior Lecturer/clinical skills tutor and senior lecturer in childrens nursing. I am an experienced practitioner, Registered specialist community public  health nurse, Health visitor, nurse independent/supplementary prescriber and registered nurse in childrens nursing. I have worked in various clinical and mangerial roles in the NHS in both the acute and community paediatric health care settings. My professional interests are in patient safety and human factors, communication skills, clinical decision making, medicines management, clinical skills and simulation teaching. I enjoy outdoor activities and walking in the countryside.
