Jennifer BarnesEmail: jab228@exeter.ac.uk School: College of Humanities I completed my BA at the University of Reading in 2001 and my MA at the University of Bristol in 2003, before beginning my PhD here at Exeter in 2008, under the supervision of Dr Pascale Aebischer. Outside of academia, I have worked in arts administration and spent three years at the Bristol Old Vic before undertaking a research placement at the BBC in 2008. Currently, I am co-organising the forthcoming AHRC funded postgraduate conference, Interfaces: Encounters beyond the page/screen/stage. This event will take place in January 2011. In October 2010, I will be speaking at an event organised by King's College London in conjunction with the National Theatre. The conference will focus on Laurence Olivier's role in the development of Shakespeare in performance, and will mark the launch of the London Shakespeare Centre.
