Dr Jonathan Morgan - Honorary Research FellowEmail: j.d.morgan@ex.ac.uk School: College of Social Sciences and International Studies Having completed both a BA and MA in Theology here at Exeter before moving on to doctoral work, my background and method are firmly theological in nature. Over the course of my University career I have developed particular interests in political theology, Christian ethics and hermeneutics. Each of these areas was brought to bear on my doctoral research, examining the potential fruitfulness of reading the book of Leviticus ecologically. My research formed part of an AHRC funded project on the Uses of the Bible in Environmental Ethics led by Professor David Horrell and Dr Francesca Stavrakopoulou, who acted as my secondary and primary supervisors respectively. I am married to Dr Susannah Cornwall, a feminist theologian working on issues of gender and sexuality, and we live in a small but cheerful flat near to the centre of Exeter. In my spare time I enjoy playing chess, poker, cricket and football, and am passionate about cinema, photography, soul music, poetry and cookery. |
