Marion joined the University in April 2010, before that she worked for seven years as an editor of the Prähistorische Bronzefunde series at the Goethe University Frankfurt/Main, Germany. In 2008 she finished her PhD on the European Bronze Age shields at the Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany, where she had also earlier gained her Masters. Aside from the Tracing Networks project, she is interested in Bronze Age warfare and technology, with a special focus on the usage of weapons and experimental work on bronze objects. She is currently collaborating with the British Museum and Neil Burridge, a bronze smith, to analyse, replicate and test a Bronze Age shield. PUBLICATIONS: Uckelmann, M. forthcoming (2012).
