Natasha MihailovicEmail: nm244@ex.ac.uk School: College of Humanities My research looks at the place of the dead in English urban society during the 'long' eighteenth century, and assesses the ways in which the living encountered and interacted with the dead in private and in public. My background in history is varied, and it has taken me a BA in East European history, literature and culture at SSEES, UCL, followed by an MA here at Exeter motivated by an interest in early modern beliefs in the supernatural, to find the subject that I love the most! I recently co-organized a Wellcome Trust-funded postgraduate conference with fellow Exeter PhD student Jennifer Evans entitled ' "The Burthen of the Mortal Body": Life, Death, Sickness and Health in the Early Modern Period', held here at the University between 23rd-24th August 2010. Please see the following link for further details: http://centres.exeter.ac.uk/cems/conferences/burthen.htm.
