Having finished my undergraduate degree in 2007, with a 1st Class honours in I.T. with Media from the University of Exeter, I am currently studying for a PhD in "the utilisation of NLP models of mind and of communication in the design of web-based presentations".

My experience with Plymouth Magic Circle taught me about suggestion and deception techniques, which I employed in a self-initiated study module during the second year of my degree. I created a website which used subliminal messaging techniques to influence the progression of visitors through a website.

From this small experiment, I concluded that over 45% of people could be influenced to concur with my own predicted preferences. This kind of technique can be quantified and qualified through application of documented NLP techniques to build into a set of specifications for future website developers to use. This is the basis of my PhD research.

I currently run several side-line businesses including web-consultancy and development of company management software.

I am 27, and live in Plymouth with my wife and daughter.
