I undertook my undergraduate studies in geography at The University of Manchester, continuing on at Manchester to complete a Masters in Environmental Governance with Distinction. My masters dissertation, 'nuclear power and the consensus on sustainability', was presented to a panel as part of the Human Geography Graduate Student Forum held during the RGS/ IBG Annual Conference in Manchester, 2009, and was subsequently published in 2010.

I was awared a full School studentship to continue my research on the nuclear renaissance here at Exeter. As well as this, I assist in teaching across a range of undergraduate modules and I am an active member of the Governance, Ethics and Justice research group (GEJ)

I am a postgraduate representative on the committee for the Planning and Environment Research Group (PERG). This year I am representing human geography PhD students in the Exeter department as joint subject chair on the Student and Staff Liason Committee.
