I am an EdD Ed Psych student at the thesis stage. I work as a senior educational psychologist (EP) in Dublin, supporting schools in meeting the needs of children with SEN and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. I also lead a team of EPs. I am researching the effects-emotional, psychological and physical - on EPs of supporting schools following critical incidents (CIs), such as the death of a student through suicide. I am interested in psychosocial methodologies, such as free association narrative interviewing (FANI) which draws on psychoanalysis and social psychology. i trained as a primary school teacher in St. Patrick's College of Education, Dublin and taught in an Irish language-medium school for a number of years whilst completing a degree in psychology with the Open University. I completed training as an EP in University College Dublin, achieving a distinction in the Masters qualification.
