I am a PhD in taxation within the Department of Accounting. Adopting a Bourdieusian inspired theoretical framework combined with case studies, my thesis explores the tax policy making process in practice in the Chilean context.
After held positions at Deloitte and PwC in auditing and taxation, I returned to academia as a full time academic at the Deparment of Information systems and management control, University of Chile in 2007 from I graduated with a BA in Accounting, Eng. in information systems and MA in taxation.
I started my PhD at Warwick Business School under the supervision of Professor Lynne Oats and following her departure, I decided to transfer my PhD to the University of Exeter in 2011.
