Project Summary

The current working title for my thesis is Spaces of appearance, Emergence and Response-ablity: Insights and Actions for Sustainable Education.

This research argues how challenges to Enlightenment conceptions of education can open up the possibility of non-teleological spaces in which students can respond, explore with radically different others, contribute to the emergence of the new and decide what it is to be a human subject who acts in the world. The research argues that students need such spaces in order to develop the response-ability and potentia which Education for Sustainable Futures asks of them.
