My aim is to contribute toward inclusive education, where we enhance opportunities for all, regardless of background. One way of doing this is by equipping citizens with good literacy skills.
There are certain aspects of educational research that I am beginning to focus on; English education is one of them, especially our understanding of language and how it is used. For example, how do we understand the reading of texts? How is grammar used in reading and writing? These are the types of research questions I am exploring for improving literacy outcomes. This is where my research interest lies, and where I intend to have impact.
