I am a second year doctoral researcher working on an AHRC funded Collaborative Doctoral Partnership at Exeter in collaboration with the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford. My PhD project is titled “Decolonising Collections: Uncovering British and Indian collectors’ networks behind British numismatic collections”. In my research, I am exploring how knowledge formation networks developed around coins and the writing of Indian history and numismatists while specially focusing on trying to uncover the role of Indians in the history of coin collecting in colonial India.
