I am a second year PhD student at the Graduate School of Education. My research interest is in the professional development and teacher training programmes for EFL teachers in Palestine.
I have obtained my Master’s degree in Education, specializing in teaching English as foreign language from Birzeit University in 2019. My thesis was researching the different professional development programmes available for EFL teachers in Palestine.
My recent job was English as a Foreign Language Specialist for Occupied Palestine Territories (OPT)- providing consultancy educational services.
Over the past ten years, I have attained a diverse experience in the education field, since I have worked in different private and nonprofit educational organizations. Moreover, I have been a founding member to a Palestinian English Language Teachers Association (PELTA) since 2016. In PELTA I was involved with planning, coordinating and running events for teacher training and development. PELTA was launched in July, 2017 in a “First Annual Conference”. Through PELTA, I have worked with the British Council on the PalTag teacher training program and presented in a “PALTAG 2018” symposium. Furthermore, I was a speaker in an e-symposium “The Future of Education in Palestine” through the British Council in June, 2020.
In addition to that, I have been a member of IATEFL since July, 2019. I presented a paper in the 54th IATEFL conference in 2021, and a paper in the 55th IATEFL conference.
