Sinead completed her BSc in Sport Sciences at Brunel University in 2011. She then moved to the University of Exeter to undertake her MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine. During her time as a masters student, Sinead became very interested in the effects of dietary nitrate supplementation on health and exercise performance. Sinead was keen to further her knowledge in this area and enrolled as a PhD student in 2012. Sinead’s research focuses on the effects of dietary nitrate supplementation and lifestyle choices on health and exercise performance.

Aside from research and teaching, Sinead enjoys participating in a number of different sports and currently plays netball for the University of Exeter.
