Volunteer in the excavations at the Roman town of Silchester (two weeks in Summer '04), and at the Roman fort of Vindolanda (two weeks in Summer '06).

Subsequently I led visits by groups of my own students to excavate at Vindolanda (in Summer '08 and Summer '10).

2000 - present:

Schools' Conferences and Tours

I have run three A Level Conferences, attended (and oversubscribed) by schools throughout the UK (2006, 2008, 2010), with papers given by leading academics on topics within A Level Latin, Classical Greek and Classical Civilisation. I have led a number of tours in Greece and Italy for schools (2000-2008), visiting the most important classical sites.
