I am a first year PhD student, with a particular interest in Celtic and British Regional History. My research, with the working title 'Cornwall's Border: Celtic Frontier or Anglicised Territory?' explores the relationship between Cornwall and the rest of Britain, within a specific geographical framework of the most easterly points of Cornwall.

Having completed my BA in History with the University of Exeter at Penryn Campus, and been History Subject Chair as well as been Student Engagement Officer of the Institute of Cornish Studies, I am returning to the Humanities department in Penryn to further my developing research interests.

During my time as a History Undergraduate, I was also Chair of the Association of Celtic Students of Ireland and Britain, an international association that supports students with an interest in both Ancient and Modern Celtic Studies, which held its annual conference in Penryn in 2015. I am currently President of the Association.
