I am originally from the city of Shenzhen, China. I have been living in the UK for the past eight years. My research interests lie in the hybrid workplace, social communication/psychology, social mobility, data science education and higher education internalisation.
I recently completed a PhD in social/intercultural communication in the College of Social Sciences and International Studies. I am a member of the Centre for social mobility.
My PhD looked into a group of international volunteers, their lived interaction experiences with diverse individuals to explore ways to better support and equip individuals with the requisite intercultural capacities to create a more peaceful interconnected world.
I am currently working as a research intern at Microsoft Research Cambridge, engaging in a project to understand the effectiveness and inclusion in the hybrid workplace. Prior to joining MSRC, I worked as a research fellow in several different research projects at the University of Exeter. I also taught statistics and social science research methods.
