May 2013:

UK and NL

I am a member of the AHRC funded Between the Tides network. The network is comprised of artists and geographers associated with the Severn Estuary in the UK and the Wadden Sea along the Friesland coasts of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, two of the most important intertidal landscapes in the world. I have been involved with two network meetings, November 2013 along the Severn Estuary and then recently in May 2014, on the island of Terschelling in the NL Wadden Sea. I am also part of ongoing discussions into the future of the network.

The project surveys current arts and humanities research and practice in the UK and Netherlands (NL) in relation to low-lying intertidal and littoral landscapes and the communities who live and work with them. It brings these together to exchange and develop conceptual and thematic approaches to living (within) dynamic, changing and rhythmic environments, which are at risk but also hold high value in natural and cultural heritage for the broader community. Tidal Cultures

2007 - 2010:

BOSarts

During this period I made work for and produced a number of artist events across Cornwall, mainly under the umbrella of BOSarts an artist-led partnership I established and co-run with Jon Brookes from the National Trust. My initial work was funded by an Arts Council grant for a year-long residency at the NT owned Bosigran Farm. Subsequent work involved funding and commissioning a range of projects in off-site, almost off-grid, locations... More information here
