Postgraduate Forum

2007:

Co-founded 'PGTips' Postgraduate Forum for Archaeology students

I co-founded the 'PGTips' Postgraduate Forum in 2007 with fellow PhD student Martin Goffriller. The intention was to provide a chance for postgraduate students to meet up, give presentations, and discuss ideas or issues etc. It has proved particularly useful for 'distance' students researching abroad, giving them a chance to meet up with other postgraduates and discuss their research when visiting the University for supervisory meetings.

I co-organised the sessions until 2010, when it was taken over by two other students. The Forum is still running, and remains popular.

Papers include:

'101 uses for a dead rabbit'.

'The archaeology of ferret racing'. (For April Fools' Day session)

'Radiography of human remains'.
