The fourth international Theorising the Popular conference was held from July 1-3 at the conference centre, Liverpool Hope. The conference's premise was to debunk arbitrary barriers between 'high' and 'low' culture and to recognise the academic integrity of popular forms, whilst uncovering their commonalities with traditional disciplines -
