This module looks at manifestations of Love and Death as they are represented in a range of French texts, images and films from the medieval period to the present day, tracing the development of these universal themes, and examining the extent to which they are interdependent.

Critical Practice

This module aims to introduce the conventions and practices of studying English at undergraduate level, and to foster independent learning and critical thinking through the study of a selection of twentieth and twenty-first century  fiction and film and varied assignments.
