I am a Wellcome Trust and SSHRC funded PhD candidate in the Centre for Early Modern Studies and the Centre for Medical History at the University of Exeter. My research looks at the experience and broader social and cultural context of non-marital childbirth in eighteenth-century Wales, including the mortality penalty of reproduction outside of marriage, and the provision of care to unmarried mothers.  I am supervised by Dr Sarah Toulalan and Dr Alun Withey. I completed my MA in Early Modern History at Swansea University, and my BA (Hons) at Simon Fraser University. Currently I am the PGR Liaison for History.
