Antonia currently teaches English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China. She has worked as both tutor and Module Convener for XJTLU’s Foundation Year programmes, teaching students from Finance, Science, Engineering and Business disciplines. She now works as a Module Convener providing English language support for Master’s students at the university. Previously, she has taught General English in Italy, China and the UK.

Antonia is now studying for an EdD in TESOL with the University of Exeter. She holds an MA in TESOL from Durham University, a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), and has completed two modules of the DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults). She also holds a Certificate in Professional Studies in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, subsequently gaining Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).  

To date, Antonia has presented at conferences in China and Cambodia, and has presented her research at Exeter University’s EdD Summer Research Forum. She has been a member of XJTLU's Teaching Development Fund panel, reviewing research projects for funding, and acted as peer reviewer on the in-house produced journal (English Teaching in China). Her research interests include student voice and identity, Transnational Education (TNE) in China, and the pedagogical applications of corpus linguistics to EAP.
