A Picture of Health

In March 2013 I was part of a group organising a Wellcome Trust sponsored conference and workshop at the Royal College of Art.

Bringing together researchers in the diverse field of medical humanities, from medical historians, performance artists, literature students design and cultural historians as well as dancers and movement therapists. Two days of exciting talks led to thoughts about the nature of interdisciplinary working and questioning: what happens when we bring together specialists from so many different areas? What can we learn from this?

Co-organised with Phd students Gareth Millward (LSHTM), Jo Edge (RHUL) and fellow RCA/V&A alumni Thomasin Summerford (Illustrator and design historian).
