I've completed a BA in Film and Television and Drama and an MA in Scriptwriting, both at Aberystwyth University. My PhD explores the European City and the notion of escapism in Woody Allen’s films, focusing on Allen's European phase rather than his well-known American classics. I have been fortunate to work as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Exeter, leading seminars for Shots in the Dark and Film Studies: An Introduction which has been great fun as teaching is my ultimate goal.

I have participated in The Place of Memory and Memory of Place International Conference in London, Men Writing Women: Women in the work of Woody Allen and Beyond International Conference at York St John University and in the at the International Conference on London Studies ‘Versions of Londonness’.  I have been published in the third issue of the Gendered Voices magazine – my piece was titled The Turning Point. I have completed the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education programme at the University of Exeter.
