I have been a student at Exeter since 2008 when I joined the Classics department. I have an abiding interest in classical drama and completed a BA Dissertation on the parallels between the treatment of revenge in both classical and Renaissance drama under the supervision of Professor Richard Seaford. During my Masters course in Social and Political Philosophy I began to explore the impact of humanism and the revival of classical texts in the cinquecento on Elizabethan and Jacobean drama. My current doctoral research is focused on the respresentation of wealth and class in both classical and Renaissance drama. I am under the supervision of Drs Pascale Aebischer and Ed Paleit. I am excited to be a researcher within the English department and to have the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience. I am shadowing Henry Power on the Beginnings Module this year and am very excited to be sharing such a fantastic breadth of literature with some keen undergraduates! In my spare time I enjoy going to the Theatre. I am also an avid fan of nineteenth century opera. I am a keen walker and have discovered some breathtaking walks since moving to Devon.
