My journey into TESOL began in 1996 after completing my initial teacher training certificate. I then went on to teach EFL in England, Ukraine, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates.

My educational background consists of the DELTA, BA Honours in Applied Linguistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, and an MA in Linguistics from the University of South Africa. My MA focussed on forensic linguistics as I researched authorship attribution on social media. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education through the University of Exeter. Apart from TESOL and forensic linguistics, my other academic interests include sociolinguistics, testing, critical theory, and artificial intelligence.

I am presently employed as a faculty member in a federal college in the UAE on the general studies programme.
