As it was a requirement to demonstrate the requisite skills and knowledge in all of the various roles I have undertaken, I have been very fortunate to have had access to regular high quality professional development and training throughout my career. For example, as a lead inspector I undertook regular update training – as well as vetting  - on the knowledge base (frameworks and statutory instruments), inspection skills and safeguarding requirements. Through the National College and the Training and Development Agency, in addition to the various programme knowledge bases, I developed facilitation, ‘train the trainer’, coaching and assessment skills.
