My broad range of research interests began at the University of Nottingham where I graduated with BA (Hons) in Geography in 2011. My undergraduate dissertation on the space and mobility of contemporary theatre included a month at the Edinburgh Fringe undertaking ethnographic research and working as an Assistant Producer for a Nottingham theatre company. This research combined my longstanding passion for theatre with an awareness of spatiality and place. I was awarded the HPGRG Undergraduate Dissertation Prize in 2011.
I continued my studies in Nottingham graduating with distinction in the Landscape and Culture MA in 2012. The Masters developed my interests in landscape and the arts. My dissertation explored popular geopolitics and was titled ‘Neither Arab nor Spring: The colonial frames of media representation’.
Having grown up in the Southwest I was happy to move back in 2012. I have many fond memories of the Jurassic Coast and I am looking forward to working with artists, scientists and policy makers across the coastline.
