Bovey Tracey Fieldtrip
Teaching assistant on a field trip to the town of Bovey Tracey to visit the craft guild and house of marbles and understand the role of creativity in the economy of the town. Students were tasked with a role-play to perform a consultation of the possibilities of employing creative economies in the town.

Images and Ecologies workshop
Teaching assistant in a workshop exploring how the environment is represented in a variety of visual images including maps, photographs and posters.

Assisted and led 8 workshops with level one students on 'Ethics in Qualitative Research' and 'Data Collection in Qualitative Research'. These explored the ethical questions to be addressed during research design and the choice of appropriate multi-disciplinary approaches to research questions.

Teaching assistant in a series of 3 workshops designed to guide students through formative assessments to prepare for the summative assessment (an essay) at the end of the module.

The geological history of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site
A mini game session where students learnt the history and formation of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
(10 minutes microteach session)
Designed and led a 40 minute workshop session which was repeated through the day to 25-30 students at a time. The workshop explored communicating the geological value of the World Heritage Site through the arts.

Assisted on field trips for first year students introducing them to the city of Exeter and demonstrating the broad approaches and methods employed within both physical and human geographical research. Led groups whilst they undertook independent study around the city.
(2 field trips of 4 hours each)
Worked as an assistant teacher in a series of 8 workshops on human geography methodologies for level two students preparing to undertake their independent dissertation research. This involved drawing on my own research experience and methodologies as well as being able to place them in context with other approaches within geography.
Topics included:
