Holly is a PhD student in the Complex Interventions Research Group within the Medical School, working with Professor David Richards and Dr Julia Frost. Her PhD, entitled "Morita Therapy for Depression and Anxiety: A Feasibility and Pilot Study", is a mixed methods project corresponding to the piloting phase of the Medical Research Council's Framework for the development and evaluation of complex interventions.  The project will develop and test in the UK a psychological therapy for depression and anxiety which is currently widely practised in Japan, but little known in the UK. 

Holly has a LL.B (Hons.) in Law from The University of Exeter, a Postgraduate Conversion Diploma in Psychology from The Open University and a MSc in Psychological Research Methods from The University of Exeter.  Whilst attaining her PGDip and MSc, Holly spent six years working in The University of Exeter's Mood Disorders Centre where she administered and coordinated the AccEPT Clinic and worked as a Research Assistant on various research projects.
