October 2013:

Stage 2 - Learning to Teach in Higher Education

I received a certificate for Exeter's Stage 2 programme on Learning to Teach in Higher Education (LTHE), which included 18 hours of instruction. I learned participatory teaching methods and appropriate grading practices and was introduced to research on teaching in higher education. I applied the learnings by doing the required 10 hours of teaching assistance for my PhD supervisor, which included seminar design and teaching for three seminars, marking papers, and offering two drop-in essay clinics for first year undergraduate students.  I also designed a 10 minute teaching module that was evaluated during the LTHE course.

20th September 2013:

I received a certificate for Stage 1 of Exeter's Learning to Teach in Higher Education (LTHE) programme, a one-day prerequisite for the Stage 2 course.
